Directed by André Téchiné
Internationally-acclaimed director André Téchiné (Wild Reeds, My Favorite Season) brings together two of cinema's biggest stars in a film about life, loev and the sacrifices that we make along the way. Antoine (Gérard Depardieu) has h eld a torch for his first love Cécile (Catherine Deneuve) for 30 years. Traveling to Tangiers, he hopes to rekindle their romance but is discouraged to learn that she is now married to a Moroccan doctor (Gilbert Melki) several years her junior. Determined to have her fall in love with him again, Antoine ignores her protests and continues his pursuit. But can true love be enough to withstand the passage of time?
"Visually alive, quick-witted and full of heart" - Stephen Holden, The New York Times
"...another gorgeous and immensely satisfying reminder that there are few better directors than Techine when it comes to capturing the vagaries of the heart." - Wesley Morris, Boston Globe
