Distribution & Marketing Interns

Kino Lorber, a leading film distribution company based in NYC, is looking for hardworking, enthusiastic, and bright interns who seek entertainment industry experience to assist the company’s theatrical and digital distribution teams. Successful applicants are proactive self-starters who are willing to make the most out of every situation and opportunity. Candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in film marketing and distribution, particularly in the arthouse film space.

Distribution and Marketing Interns will assist the team with tasks including:

  • Social media content creation, copywriting, and scheduling
  • Email marketing curation and copywriting
  • Grassroots outreach and partnerships research and execution
  • Maintaining PR databases and researching new press contacts
  • Tracking and cataloging press breaks and maintaining quote sheets
  • Drafting and formatting press releases and press kits
  • Distribution and marketing trends research, reporting, and analysis

Our internship program is meant for university students with a serious desire to learn about film distribution. Interns are invited to attend and participate in team meetings, and work closely with staff from across the company, creating a unique educational opportunity. Candidates are expected to work 16 hours per week and a stipend and college credit are available.

Our internships are seasonal – Spring (Jan-Apr), Summer (May-Aug), Fall (Sep-Dec) – and we accept applications internships on a roling basis. International Sales Internship

Kino Lorber, a leading film distribution company based in NYC, is looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic, and bright intern seeking entertainment industry experience to assist the company’s international sales team for Summer 2024. Successful applicants are proactive self-starters who are willing to make the most out of every situation and opportunity. Candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in film sales and distribution, particularly in repertory and restored cinema, and an international profile is a plus.

The international sale intern will aid the team with tasks including:

  • Researching and identifying target clients for repertory cinema in each territory, 
  • Assisting with drafting and design of email blasts going to the customer base,
  • Assisting with curation of the catalog,
  • Maintaining the list of available titles updated and organized.

Our intern program is meant for university students with a serious desire to learn about international film distribution. Candidates must be able to work a minimum of two days per week.
