Uncle John is a dark morality tale that opens on a cold and mysterious murder. What follows is an unexpected, genre-bending journey between two seemingly disparate stories that ultimately converge in this tense and chilling psychological thriller.
Dutch (Laurent Soucie), a small town bully turned born again Christian, has gone missing. John (John Ashton, Beverly Hills Cop), a kind and well-liked pillar of his rural community, is not a suspect - but has everything to do with it. Rumors and theories about Dutch's fate spread throughout the town, including one from Dutch's rambunctious younger brother Danny (Ronnie Gene Blevins, Joe) who believes John is at the heart of the mystery.
Meanwhile, John's nephew Ben (Alex Moffat) leads a decidedly urban existence as a hip Chicago motion graphics designer. His confused and budding relationship with his coworker Kate (Jenna Lyng) takes them on an impromptu adventure north to see the town he grew up in.
They arrive just as Danny's suspicions begin to mount, forcing John to navigate both worlds in an attempt to keep the disappearance unsolved.
