Testament Of Dr. Mabuse

Directed by Fritz Lang

Release: 1933

Country: Germany
Language: German with English Subtitles
Director: Fritz Lang
Lang's follow up to his silent classic Dr. Mabuse the Gambler, finds Mabuse confined to an insane asylum. As brilliant as he is mad, Mabuse runs his underworld enterprises by taking over the mind of the asylum's head, Dr. Baum. The doctor follows Mabuse's instructions to oversee a world of forgery, theft and murder. Eventually the doctor becomes Mabuse and is hunted by Inspector Lohmann. This wildly expressionist film was Lang's last German film.
