It’s time for some O.G. respect! Action legends Fred Williamson (Black Caesar), Jim Brown (Slaughter), Pam Grier (Foxy Brown), Ron O'Neal (Superfly) and Richard Roundtree (Shaft) return to the genre that made them famous in this big, brassy, overblown, pyrotechnic thriller. This action-packed tale of slick, ten-fisted retribution delivers as generous a measure of sensational entertainment as any of the Shaft or Superfly pictures of a generation ago. Bookman (Williamson), a former hood who went on to become a big time football star, returns to his old turf when the gang he founded ends up killing his father. Bookman decides to round up some of his old posse and begin an all-out street war with the vicious thugs and return his old neighborhood to its rightful state of peace and justice. Cult great Larry Cohen (Hell Up in Harlem) directed this fully-loaded thriller also featuring Paul Winfield (Trouble Man), Robert Forster (Vigilante), Wings Hauser (Vice Squad) with Isabel Sanford (TV’s The Jeffersons) and Jazz great Oscar Brown Jr. as Bookman’s mom and dad.
