He was a journalist in search of the truth! In 1970s Nicaragua, under the Somoza regime – Texas journalist Jack Cox (Jan-Michael Vincent, The Return, Defiance, White Line Fever) arrives in Managua on assignment to see his old friend General Somoza (Lloyd Batista, Get Mean). While in town he also meets Maria Cardena (Julie Carmen, The Milagro Beanfield War), a member of a prominent family close to Somoza. Unknown to Cox, Maria is a member of the Sandinista movement who participates in raids against her government. When the two become romantically involved, he asks her to take him to the rebel camp so he can file his report including both sides of the story. David Nelson (Childish Things) directed this exciting thriller in the tradition of The Year of Living Dangerously, with a screenplay by Ernest Tidyman (The French Connection, High Plains Drifter, Shaft) and co-starring Mary Crosby (Dallas, The Ice Pirates), David Huffman (Wolf Lake, Firefox) and William Windom (TV’s The Farmer’s Daughter).
