Blood And Sand
Directed by Fred Niblo
Blood And Sand
An immortal icon of brooding sexuality, Rudolph Valentino has become one of silent cinema's most enigmatic and entrancing performers. In BLOOD AND SAND he stars as Juan Gallardo, a young Spaniard who achieves his boyhood ambition to become a celebrated toreador. But with fame come temptation and treachery, and the triumphant Juan finds himself the victim of his own desires and the sinister charms of the exotic Doña Sol (Nita Naldi).
This definitive DVD edition is newly mastered from a 35mm archive negative and restores scenes missing from the previous Kino video release for a running time which is approximately 20 minutes longer. Combined with a wealth of supplemental features and a new stereo score by the Mont Alto Motion Picture Orchestra (score composed by Rodney Sauer), this Kino on Video edition is a fitting tribute to one of cinema's most enduring stars.
