Knitting Factory Entertainment
Knitting Factory Entertainment is a specialty distribution arm of Kino Lorber dedicated to releasing the best in world music documentaries. Drawing on its rich history of introducing indie and avant garde musicians to audiences at New York’s legendary Knitting Factory club, the label will focus on bringing the world music experience to an even wider audience with definitive films about the most exciting artists of our time. Recent releases include Gogol Bordello Non-Stop, a vibrant chronicle of one of today’s most notorious and revered live bands that follows Eugene Hütz’s gypsy-punk brigade around the world as they spread their liberating libertine musical gospel; A Not So Silent Night, featuring Kate and Anna McGarrigle; and, Fela Kuti: Music Is The Weapon.
