Kino Lorber, Inc. was founded in 2009 by industry veterans Donald Krim and Richard Lorber, combining the staffs, libraries and resources of Kino International, Lorber Films and Alive Mind to create the new leader in film distribution.

Through its varied group of labels, Kino Lorber, Inc. offers the best in contemporary, classic and documentary films that aim to engage, provoke, stimulate, and entertain today's audiences.

With a library of more than 700 titles, Kino Lorber, Inc. releases over 20 films per year theatrically under its Kino Lorber, Kino Classics and Alive Mind Cinema banners. Moreover, the company brings over 60 new titles per year to the home entertainment market through Blu-ray, DVD and digital distribution on Internet platforms and VOD services.

Recent theatrical releases from Kino Lorber have included Cyril Tuschi's provocative documentary, KHODORKOVSKY, examining the case of the imprisoned Russian business leader; Angelina Maccarone's CHARLOTTE RAMPLING: THE LOOK, which presents a series of discussions with Charlotte Rampling about her life and work; and THE MILL & THE CROSS, a sweeping epic by acclaimed Polish filmmaker Lech Majewski about the painter, Pieter Bruegel (played by Rutger Hauer), and the creation of his famous work "The Way to Calvary". From Kino Lorber's Alive Mind Cinema label, theatrical releases have included EL BULLI: COOKING IN PROGRESS, a documentary about master chef Ferran Adria and his famous culinary dishes created at his restaurant in Catalonia; and OVER YOUR CITIES GRASS WILL GROW, a documentary by Sophie Fiennes that delves into the creative process of artist Anselm Kiefer. Kino Classics has recently brought to limited theatrical engagement GIORGIO MORODER PRESENTS METROPOLIS, the composer's revisioning of Fritz Lang's silent masterpiece which has been out of circulation for 25 years since its initial release in 1984, and Sergei Eisenstein's highly innovative BATTLESHIP POTEMKIN, which influenced everything from the avant garde cinema to MTV.
